Day 7: Who could this be?

Impossible! Did I actually get a picture of the elusive Black Baby? This must be an illusion!

Friday, July 18

Day 6: And more kittens.

I love when they still have that fuzzy undercoat.

Day 3: Star Wars

Did you know that the wrinkles on Yoda's face were inspired by Einstein? I thought that was really interesting.

Monday, July 14

Day 2: Room work.

It's a rejection letter addressed to Andy Warhol from when he was just starting out as an artist. It came with a bag I bought with one of his designs on it, and it really struck me as powerful that they put in something where he was rejected as opposed to something where he was being schmoozed all over. Even the great an magnificent Andy Warhol can get rejected.

But anyway, I framed it and hung it on my wall because, since I want to be a writer, I'll probably be getting many the rejection notice in my lifetime. And I guess I just wanted that letter to be a reminder to myself that just because you're rejected doesn't mean you aren't brilliant.

Andy Warhol just kept going. And so will I.

Day 1: Do-Over

Been a while, hasn't it? I was really busy all June and the beginning of July, but I just got back from a vacation so I'm really refreshed. While watching a documentary on the Galapagos islands on the National Geographic channel in the hotel room, I because really interested in Darwin. Also, I spent a ton of time at the beach. Enjoy this picture someone drew of Homer on a drift log.

Day 32: Craftgrrl

My grandma said that my rows are ridiculously even and straight for someone who just started, and my tension is perfect. She wants me to get to a yard at least before I see her again. Whenever that'll be. Hopefully I won't just keep messing up and having to redo everything.

Monday, June 2

Day 31: A Wreck

The most delicious sandwich on the face of the Earth.

Sunday, June 1

Day 30: Don't say sorry--be happy for me.

I pretty much shared my entire life story with my hair stylist. I told her about the divorce between my mom and dad, what I usually do on the weekends, about boys I've loved, about how I'd rather stay single than have a boyfriend at this point, etc. etc. And she told me all about her life. It was kind of cool. I felt almost like we could have become good friends under different circumstances.

Day 29: Before-picture

I'm hopefully going to get a haircut today. My fringe is down near my top lip at the moment. Ridiculous.

Friday, May 30

Day 28: Smitten Kitten

"Economic Stimulus Checks: Do you think this is what the government had in mind?" An ad for Smitten Kitten, a feminist sex toy store.

Thursday, May 29

Day 27: Mr. Piccolo noooo!

OH NO, ピッコロさん! (。;_;。)

Wednesday, May 28

Day 26: A small price to pay for ice cream.

Last week at work we met the goal for document scanning--over 60,000 titles scanned from the backlog when our goal was only 50,000. So Jim brought in ice cream cups for everyone. :3 I stole a strawberry one right away. There was no way in hell I was going to get stuck with vanilla.

Tuesday, May 27

Day 25: No more power

I ran out of these. Sorry.

Monday, May 26

Day 24: Someday

Someday I'll finish my room and I won't have a ton of crap laying on the floor because I'll have somewhere to put everything.

Someday.

Sunday, May 25

Day 23: I picked this up when you left.

There was a dead cat in the middle of the road today. When I saw it I cried for the current state of this country.

Day 21: Untitled

It seems that when I have nothing better to post about, I post pictures of cats.
